Old Town

Old Town  is the oldest part of the city and the heart of Alexandria. The first settlement in Alexandria was in 1695 on the banks of the Potomac river and the city grew up around the port. Del Ray

The history of  Del Ray does not stretch quite as far back as colonial days and it’s not as old as Old Town but it still has laods of historic charm. The neighborhood was founded in 1894 as a “streetcar suburb” of Washington, D.C and most of Del Ray was built between the 1890’s and the 1950’s. The borough has managed to retain its small town charm and here you will still find white picket fences, American Foursquare homes and quaint streets lined with brick and stone houses. There are also condos like the Colecroft Station development. At the heart of Del Ray is Mount Vernon Avenue with an interesting mix of shops, restaurants and art galleries. Arlandria

Arlandria is located at the border of Alexandria City and Arlington County, just north of Del Ray at the terminus of Mount Vernon Avenue. Eisenhower Valley

Eisenhower Valley, along Eisenhower Avenue, is divided into two areas – the western end and the eastern end. The western end, with its easy access to the interstate, is the commercial hub of the neighborhood and here you will find warehouses and business parks that house businesses such as FedEx and UPS. The west end of Eisenhower Avenue is served by the Van Dorn Metro station. West End

The West End of Alexandria has a variety of diverse offerings for property buyers.
