- Despite being an urban county, Arlington has set aside a number of pleasant green spaces for residents to enjoy. I have enjoyed walks at Theodore Roosevelt Island, Potomac Overlook Park, and Bon Air Park, but those are just a few of the many parks to enjoy.
- Upton Hill Regional Park is a wooded spot with several other attractions. Ocean Dunes Waterpark, which has an enormous pool, a giant slide, and more is at Upton Hill. Upton Hill also has batting cages and putt-putt golf.
- If you are interested in experiencing some culture in Arlington, try the Signature Theatre or the Synetic Theater, which are both award-winning theaters. The Signature Theater presents contemporary, classical, and newer works of both plays and musicals. The Synetic Theater, on the other hand, is a physical theater that tells stories through motion instead of relying on words.
- Arlington is home to some of the nation's most treasured and revered national memorials including Arlington National Cemetery, the USMC (Iwo Jima) Memorial, the US Air Force Memorial on the hill overlooking the Pentagon and the US Pentagon Memorial.
