The new store, Mason & Greens will offer residents sustainable dry goods while promoting a waste free and plastic free environment. The grocery store which will be located at 913 King Street this spring or summer will be the area’s first bulk and zero waste shop.
Shoppers are Mason & Greens will need to bring their own bags, jars and containers for bulk goods and to carry groceries home as there will be no plastic bags or packaging bags available at the store. The store will also be cash free and they will only accept debit, credit and other electronic payments. Shoppers will be required to weight their bags or jars before filling them so as to ensure they only pay for the weight of the goods.
