The Joseph Hensley Park is named after the late Joseph Hensley, a former Director of Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities in Alexandria. The 21.66 acre park is located at 4200 Eisenhower Avenue Alexandria. The park features softball fields and soccer fields which are used by the Adult Sports Leagues, the Bishop Ireton Varsity and Junior Varsity Softball teams as well as the Alexandria Soccer Association and Lacrosse practice. The park also features restrooms, on site parking, picnic area and park shelter with grill. The picnic area and the athletic fields can be reserved for private use. Joseph Hensley Park is open daily and is a popular place for residents of the surrounding communities to meet up and socialize.
