Old Town's historic waterfront will come alive for the 20th Annual Alexandria Holiday Boat Parade of Lights. Dozens of brightly lit boats will cruise along one mile of the Potomac Rive shoreline with parade festivities slated to start at 5:30 pm.
The event will kick off with dockside festivities in Waterfront Park starting at 2 pm. The festivities will include a pop up beer garden from Port City Brewing Company, holiday music and giveaway courtesy of 97.1 WASH-FM. Patrons can also take part in hands on activites with a Letter to Postcard station from Penny Post, a holiday craft activity from AR Workshop Alexandria and a bookmark making station from Old Town Books. Food and refreshments will be provided by Pizzeria Paradiso and Dolci Gelati.
Residents unable to make it to the Waterfront Park can see the parade at other public parks along Alexandria's waterfront.
