Rapid COVID-19 At-Home Test Kits To Be Made Available By Fairfax Co. Libraries

Free COVID-19 at-home test kits are coming to 21 Fairfax County, Virginia, public library branches starting Friday. The BinaxNOW test kits will be available at each of Fairfax County Public Library’s 13 open community branches and eight regional branches on Dec. 3. The county warns that quantities are limited. Surgeon General And Jill Biden Start Kids Vaccination Campaign

First lady Jill Biden and Dr. Vivek Murthy, the surgeon general, will be visiting a children’s vaccination clinic at a school in McLean, Virginia, with historic significance in vaccine delivery. Franklin Sherman Elementary School was the first school in the nation to give children the polio vaccine in 1954. Vaccination Required To Eat Inside Pho, Banh Mi & Grill

If you are not vaccinated for COVID-19, a Fairfax, Virginia, restaurant is not letting you dine inside. Pho, Banh Mi & Grill has put in place a new policy that only allows people to eat inside its dining room if customers show their completed vaccination card. The restaurant’s owner Francis Do, said he came up with his new policy after seeing President Joe Biden earlier this week express frustration over people who have not gotten vaccinated. McLean’s Resident Helps Seniors Get Vaccinated

A McLean resident has become a popular person in her neighborhood and across the region for her ability to get COVID-19 vaccination appointments on websites that other people find excruciatingly difficult to navigate. Katja Hom helped an immigrant family who speaks Spanish and was having trouble navigating the website to get vaccination appointments at a local Safeway.
