George Washington Parkway Roadwork Is Finally Done

The commuters in Northern Virginia's George Washington Parkway can relax now as the roadwork is finally done. The lanes are back open after more than five months of lane closures to repair a gaping sinkhole. One of two northbound lanes of the parkway has been closed since May. The National Park Service in a Friday morning news release said that work near Dead Run has been completed and drivers can once again use both lanes as they approach the Capital Beltway. Some of the area's best interior designers got together to transform a grand home into a showcase house to raise money for charity. Designers Quintece Hill-Mattauszek of Studio Q Designs, Rhonald Angelo of Rhonald Angelo Interiors and Sheryl McLean of McLean and Tircuit Designs were tapped to unleash their collective creative talent to create a library, a teenage girl’s bedroom and a lounge space for a family of six.
