Enjoy 9th Washington West Film Festival

The Washington West Film Festival is an annual film festival held in Reston, Virginia every autumn since 2011. This year its 9th edition will be presented at Bow Tie Cinemas 11940 Market Street, Reston, VA. The festival will continue from 24 October to 28 October. It is noted for being organized as a fundraising project for charity. The Washington West Film Festival screens world-class, premiere, and award-winning films throughout the D.C. region. Washington West Film Festival directs 100% of its festival week box office net proceeds to solving problems of childhood hunger, illness, or limited education, which turns its audience members into producers of amazing, inspiring real-life stories. The Festival is the project of Brad Russell, Pastor of the Dulles Community Church. Pastor Russell is known for showing short scenes from popular films to illustrate the theme of his sermons. Mark Maxey is Chairman of the Festival's Board of Directors. Beginning with a single venue, by its fifth year, the week-long festival was screening dozens of new films in multiple venues. The festival includes an oral storytelling event - with whiskey - to which only the filmmakers are admitted.
