Introduction to Mount Vernon

About Mount Vernon

The Mount Vernon District spans from Belle Haven at the northern end of the Fort Hunt neighborhood all the way down to Fort Belvoir. Furthermore, the Mount Vernon District includes Huntington and New Alexandria. Mount Vernon residences have an Alexandria postal address, but they are located in Fairfax County.  Homes in this neighborhood are often a little bigger with nice large lots, often wooded near the waterfront because Mount Vernon is surrounded by water on three sides. Dogue Creek is to the south between Yacht Haven and Fort Belvoir, while Little Hunting Creek is between Woodland Park and homes in Stratford Landing and Fort Hunt.
