The launch of the first Alexandria Makers Market is set to make its debut in November, just in time for the holiday season. The pop up events will be hosted on November 24th from 12pm to 6pm at Port City Brewing Company.
The event will feature a variety of Alexandria-based artisans displaying their products for holiday shopping. Visitors can enjoy drinks from the brewery while shopping for their gifts and making crafts at various DIY workshops throughout the day. Alexandria Makers Market was founded by Alyssa Kovach who owns an online T-Shirt shop which focuses on making Alexandria unique. Kovach stated that the concept of Alexandria Makers Markets is "to celebrate all the hard working creatives based in our city and to enable opportunities for us to showcase our talent".
