The City of Alexandria, Virginia American Water and Alexandria Renew Enterprises - Alexandria's three water system partners will be hosting the third Annual Water Discover Day on September 14 at Four Mile Run Park in Alexandria. Alexandria Renew Enterprises CEO Karen Pallansch states that "Water Discover Day brings water's value to life for people of all ages through a number of hands-on activities, giving attendees a better understanding of their role in preserving our local waterways". The event will feature a tour of Alexandria Renew Enterprises Four Mile Run Pump Station, Hands on water activities with Virginia American Water, Touch a Truck with Alexandria Fire Department, Sewer Art Gallery, Make your own slime and Pet Adoption. There will be educational games, food vendors and giveaways at the event. Everyone is invited to attend and learn how the water system works in Alexandria.
