This post isn't about this pied-a-terre in Lake Braddock. As interesting as that property is, what I really want to write about is some of what I appreciate about Burke. From the top of my head:

Burke has very little traffic or few congested roads because Burke has very little “cut-through” traffic. Many residents live on cul-de-sacs in quiet neighborhoods.
Burke offers remarkably good commuter options when compared to suburbs with a similar feel in Gainesville or Woodbridge.
Burke is close to several military installations like nearby Fort Belvoir and of course the Pentagon. This means that when it's time to sell your home will always enjoy a healthy demand.
Burke's location outside the Beltway between I-95 and I-66 means that two-income families can find reasonable commutes for both spouses even if they work in opposite directions.
