Below you will find a list of each and every subdivision (or condominium) with properties for sale in Alexandria. The list below is compiled from active listings today. This list is refreshed throughout the day (and night) to ensure that we're supplying accurate information that you may rely on. The tallies collected below is taken directly from the MLS database, so there are some quirks to be aware of.
You might spot a subdivision listed multiple times.
Firstly that the names of subdivisions (or condominiums) listed below were all entered into the Multiple Listing Service by listing agents. Because humans entered the data, there will be typographical errors. Later, those typographical errors can be corrected and that correction makes it seem like a property has moved from one subdivision to another when actually the error was corrected.
Not to mention, there may be some dispute as to what exactly a specific community is called. If there is even one letter of difference between a couple of entries this will be counted separately. Thus, if you really need to get a count, you should look at all possible variations of the community's name. By way of illustration, Midtown condominiums in Huntington are sometimes entered in as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.
"I saw a for sale sign posted but the subdivision isn't found below."
Is there a different name for this particular subdivision?
Of course, for the reason stated above, try to you watch out for all typical variations of the name.
Is the listing for rent?
This tally does not cover rental properties. Hence, it's possible that the sign you saw was for a rental. In addition, this tally
only includes listings on the market in Alexandria.
Is the listing under-contract?
An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are some properties which have a sign posted that are not
active.
For example, sometimes a for sale is posted because the property is
coming soon. A property that is in coming-soon status is not
yet available and not yet for sale. Only agents have access to information about properties that are coming-soon. Furthermore, the Multiple Listing Service does not permit us to count those properties in our tally. If you want to know about coming-soon real estate in a particular neighborhood, you'll have to get in touch with us directly.
Is the listing sold?
Also, it happens that a listing is already sold or
under contract when you spot the sign posted. Sold or under-contract signs don't go up instantly. And, it happens that the Realtor is a little tardy with putting up the under-contract signs. For these reasons, it's possible to see a for sale sign posted when a listing is not available.
Do you want regular notices about listings from a specific neighborhood?
If you would like to be notified when a listing is active in a specific community, just let us know. Also, we can also give you specific information on a particular property when you email us directly. We have a Realtor that can quickly find the information you need.
You can arrange the subdivisions by number or alphabetically.
The arrows at the header below are useful for arranging the subdivisions. Conversely, when you organize by listing count, just keep in mind the points above, because those tallies aren't completely accurate. Of course, the list is still useful.
