You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condominiums) found below were all put into the MLS database by Realtors. Because humans entered the data, there may be spelling errors. Of course sometimes, those spelling errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a listing has moved from one subdivision to another when in reality the error was corrected.

Also, there may be some disagreement as to what exactly a particular subdivision is named. If there is even one letter of difference between two entries this will be listed as different communities. So, if you really need to get a count, you have to look at all the variations of the subdivision's name. For example, Midtown condominiums near the Huntington Metro are sometimes known as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

Is there a different name for this specific neighborhood?

Yes, for the reason stated above, try to you look for all typical variations of the spelling.

Is the property for lease?

This list does not cover rental properties. Therefore, it's possible that the sign you saw was for a rental. Also, this tally only covers listings still for sale in Star Tannery.

Is the listing under-contract?

An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are some listings which have a sign up that are not active. For example, from time to time a for sale is up because the property is coming soon. A listing that is coming-soon is not yet available and not yet on the market. Only agents can access to information about listings that are coming-soon. And, the Multiple Listing Service does not allow Nesbitt Realty to include those properties in our list. Is the property under-contract?

And, sometimes that a listing is already under contract when you spot the for sale posted. Sold or under-contract riders don't go up immediately. Not to mention, from time to time that the listing agent is a less than prompt with putting up the under-contract riders. For these reasons, you may see a for sale sign posted when a property is not available.
