Are you trying to find homes in a specific community?

Listed below you will find a list of each subdivision (or condo) with listings in Rockingham County. This list is compiled from active listings today. This list is revised often to ensure that we're supplying fresh data that you can rely on. The tallies collected below is taken directly from the MLS database, so there are some quirks to be aware of.

You might find a subdivision listed more than once.

You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condominium communities) compiled below were all put into the Multiple Listing Service by listing agents. Because humans entered the data, there can be typographical errors. Later, those spelling errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a listing has been listed when in reality the spelling on a listing was changed.

In addition, there may be some diffence of opinion as to what exactly a specific community is called. If there is just one character of difference between two entries this will be listed as different communities. So, when you really need to get a count, you have to consider all possible variations of the subdivision's name. For instance, Midtown condominiums in Fairfax County are sometimes known as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

"I saw a for sale sign posted but the community isn't found below."

Is there another way to spell this specific neighborhood?
Certainly, for the reason stated above, make sure you double-check all typical variations of the name.
Is the listing for rent?
This tally does not cover rentals. So, it may be that the sign you saw was for a rental. Furthermore, this list exclusively includes listings on the market in Rockingham County.
Is the property coming soon?
An active listing is a property that is available and on the market. There are many properties that have a sign up that are not active. Case in point, sometimes a for sale is posted because the property is coming soon. A property that is in coming-soon status is not yet available and not yet on the market. Only agents can access to information about properties that are coming-soon. And, the Multiple Listing Service does not allow us to include those properties in our count. If you want to know about coming-soon real estate in a particular community, you'll have to email us directly.
Is the property under-contract?
Furthermore, it happens that a listing is already sold when you see the sign posted. Sold notices don't go up immediately. Also, sometimes that the listing agent is a little tardy with putting up the under-contract signs. For these reasons, you might see a sign posted when a listing is not available.
