You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condominium communities) found below were all entered into the MLS database by listing agents. Because humans entered the data, there may be typographical errors. Of course sometimes, those spelling errors can be corrected and that correction makes it seem like a listing has moved from one subdivision to another when really the spelling on a listing was changed.
Not to mention, there may be some dispute as to what exactly a specific subdivision is called. If there is just one letter of difference between a couple of entries this will be tallied separately. Hence, if you really need to get a tally, you should consider all the variations of the community's name. For example, Midtown condominiums in Fairfax County are sometimes called Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

As a matter of course, for the reason stated above, try to you look for all possible variations of the name.
Is the property for lease?
This tally does not include rental properties. Therefore, it may be that the sign you saw was for a rental. In addition, this tally
exclusively covers active listings in Mt Crawford.
Is the listing in coming-soon status?
An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are some listings which have a sign up that are not
active.
For example, sometimes a sign is posted because the property is
coming soon. A property that is coming-soon is not
yet available and not yet on the market. Only agents can access to information about properties that are in coming-soon status. Furthermore, the MLS database does not allow us to list those listings in our count. If you want to know about coming-soon homes in a specific subdivision, you'll have to contact us directly.
Is the property sold?
Furthermore, it happens that a listing is already sold or
under contract when you see the sign posted. Under-contract riders aren't posted immediately. In addition, sometimes that the Realtor is a less than prompt with putting up the under-contract signs. For these reasons, you might see a sign posted when a listing is not available.
