Firstly that the names of subdivisions (or condominiums) compiled below were all typed into the Multiple Listing Service by listing agents. Because humans entered the data, there can be typographical errors. Of course sometimes, those typographical errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a property has been listed when in reality the error was corrected.

Also, there may be some variation as to what exactly a specific neighborhood is named. If there is just one letter of difference between two entries this will be listed separately. Hence, if you really need to get a picture, you have to look at all possible variations of the subdivision's name. For example, Midtown condominiums near the Huntington Metro are by some people entered in as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

Of course, for the reason stated above, make sure you double-check all possible variations of the spelling.

Is the property for rent?

This tally does not cover rentals. Hence, it's possible that the sign you saw was for a rental property. And, this list only includes listings on the market in Keezletown.

Is the listing not yet active?

An active listing is a property that is available and on the market. There are quite a few listings that have a sign posted that are not active. By way of illustration, sometimes a sign is posted because the property is coming soon. A listing that is in coming-soon status is not yet available and not yet for sale. Only agents have access to information about properties that are in coming-soon status. Furthermore, the MLS database does not allow us to include those properties in our list. Is the property under-contract?

In addition, from time to time that a listing is already under contract when you see the sign posted. Under-contract notices aren't posted immediately. In addition, it happens that the listing agent is a less than prompt with putting up the under-contract riders. For these reasons, it's possible to see a for sale sign posted when a property is not active.
