Listed below you will see a accounting of each subdivision (or condo) with listings in Oakton Plantation. This list is compiled from active listings today. This list is revised every few minutes to make sure that we're supplying timely data that you may count on. The data listed below is pulled directly from the Multiple Listing Service, so there are a few quirks to be aware of.
You might find a subdivision listed more than once.
Firstly that the names of subdivisions (or condominiums) listed below were all typed into the Multiple Listing Service by Realtors. Because humans entered the data, there can be typographical errors. Later, those typographical errors can be corrected and that correction makes it seem like a property has moved from one subdivision to another when actually the error was corrected.
Not to mention, there may be some diffence of opinion as to what exactly a specific subdivision is named. If there is just one letter of difference between two entries this will be counted as different communities. Hence, if you really need to get a picture, you have to consider all the variations of the subdivision's name. For example, Midtown condominiums in Alexandria are at times known as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.
"I saw a sign up but the subdivision isn't listed below."
Is there another way to spell this particular subdivision?
Of course, for the reason stated above, make sure you watch out for all typical variations of the name.
Is the listing for rent?
This tally does not cover rental properties. Therefore, it may be that the sign you saw posted was for a rental property. In addition, this tally
exclusively includes active listings in Oakton Plantation.
Is the listing not yet active?
An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are many listings that have a sign posted that are not
active.
For instance, from time to time a sign is up because the property is
coming soon. A property that is coming-soon is not
yet available and not yet for sale. Only agents have access to information about properties that are coming-soon. Not to mention, the Multiple Listing Service does not permit us to include those properties in our tally. If you want to know about coming-soon listings in a particular neighborhood, you'll have to contact us directly.
Is the listing under-contract?
Also, from time to time that a listing is already sold or
under contract when you see the for sale up. Sold or under-contract signs don't go up the moment a property settles. In addition, it happens that the Realtor is a little tardy with putting up the under-contract riders. Because of these reasons, you may see a for sale sign posted when a listing is not active.
Do you want regular notices about listings from a particular community?

Also, your agent can also give you specific information on a particular listing if you reach out to Nesbitt Realty directly. You can arrange the neighborhoods by count or alphabetically.
The arrows at the header below are useful for arranging the neighborhoods. However, when you arrange by listing count, just remember the tips above, because the count isn't completely accurate. Still, the list is still useful.
