Below you will see a list of each subdivision (or condominium) with real estate on the market in Ballston Commons. The list below is compiled from listings currently available today. The list below is recalculated every few minutes to ensure that we're supplying timely information that you may count on. The tallies compiled below is pulled directly from the Multiple Listing Service, so there are some quirks to be aware of.
You might spot a subdivision listed more than once.
You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condominiums) listed below were all put into the Multiple Listing Service by Realtors. Because humans entered the data, there can be typographical errors. Of course sometimes, those typographical errors can be corrected and that correction makes it seem like a listing has sold when really the error was corrected.
Furthermore, there may be some variances as to what exactly a particular subdivision is named. If there is just one character of difference between two entries this will be tallied separately. So, when you really need to get a count, you have to look at all possible variations of the community's name. For example, Midtown condominiums near the Huntington Metro are sometimes called Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.
"I saw a sign up but the community isn't listed below."
Is there another name for this specific neighborhood?
Of course, for the reason stated above, try to you double-check all possible variations of the name.
Is the listing for lease?
This tally does not cover rentals. Therefore, it's possible that the sign you saw posted was for a rental. In addition, this tally
only includes active listings in Ballston Commons.
Is the listing coming soon?
An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are some properties that have a sign up that are not
active.
For example, from time to time a for sale is up because the property is
coming soon. A property that is coming-soon is not
yet available and not yet for sale. Only agents can access to information about listings that are in coming-soon status. Not to mention, the Multiple Listing Service does not allow us to include those properties in our count. If you want to know about coming-soon homes in a specific subdivision, you'll have to contact us directly.
Is the listing under-contract?
In addition, from time to time that a listing is already
under contract when you see the sign up. Sold or under-contract riders aren't posted instantly. Furthermore, sometimes that the listing agent is a less than prompt with putting up the under-contract signs. For these reasons, you might see a sign up when a property is not active.

The arrows at the header below are useful for sorting the communities. But, when you sort by listing count, just keep in mind the points above, because the number isn't always accurate. Nevertheless, the list is still useful.
