Public Art Reston, in partnership with Reston Town Center, will present the annual ChalkFest at Reston Town Center this September Saturday, 14th from 9 am - 4:30 pm. All are invited to join this street art festival in transforming Market Street at Reston Town Center with beautiful chalk art.

The event is open to professional artists, amateur artists, families, and kids. Individuals can participate in three categories: Professional Artists ($25), Amateur Artists ($20), and Families and Kids ($15). Prizes will be awarded in each category as well as an Audience Choice Award.
Chalkfest is one of the area’s most unique and fun events that attracts a diverse and motivated audience and promotes public art in Reston. The festival draws a wide range of participants and an even a larger group of visitors to witness their amazing talent. In 2017, over 4000 visitors participated in the festival’s programming, exceeding the expected visitor goals for the four-year-old festival.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Public Art Reston’s projects and programs. Last year’s event was canceled due to the forecasted rain, but in 2017, the event drew more than 4,000 people.
