Great Falls Halloween Spooktacular And Pet Parade

Celebrate Great Falls Foundation is hosting its annual Halloween Spooktacular on October 31, 2019. Children age 12 and under are invited to come dressed in their costumes on All Hallows Eve for a fun and safe evening spent exploring a spooky haunted house and trick-or-treating at booths provided by local merchants. Bring your pet on a leash dressed up in its favorite costume. The Spooktacular was launched over 20 years ago, by members of Great Falls Friends to provide younger children with a central, convenient place in Great Falls to have fun trick or treating. It was because of their initiative that still the Great Falls vendors offer candy around the Village Green as well as in the Safeway shopping center at the corner of Georgetown Pike and Walker Road. Last year’s Spooktacular was attended by ghosts, goblins, Nationals and Redskins players, zombies, a No. 2 pencil, Elsa, angels, witches, Clifford, a hotdog, patriots, a hockey player, Minnie Mouse, Vikings, a cow, a surgeon, Red Riding Hood, a lion, Magic Mirror, a skeleton, superheroes, Dorothy and the cast of characters from the Wizard of Oz, a princess, a Viking, witches, a penguin, a Washington National, a Washington Redskin, a hockey player, and many more. The parade begins at The Arts of Great Falls Gallery (756 Walker Rd). Judging at 4:30, Prizes for Special Categories. Pets must be cleared from the area by 4:50.
