Burke Nursery & Garden Centre is holing the 25th annual Fall Festival and Pumpkin Playground. This year's festival will run from October 1st through October 31st and is located at 9401 Burke Rd. in Burke. The festival hours are from 9 am to 8 pm from Sunday to Thursday and from 9 am to 9 pm on Friday and Saturday. The activities of the festival are designed to be both fun and educational for all. Each paid admission receives a small carvable patch pumpkin and hayrides (wheelchair accessible).
The daily activities at the festival include pirate's ship, pirate's camp, pumpkin fort, ghost tunnel slide - a fun play area, western town - includes mechanical rides, money mountain - hunt for coins and treasures, teepee - an authentic Native American teepee, Mary Aponte - Cherokee storyteller, hayrides - loads of new spooky surprises, farm animals, miner's, mountain slide, Merry-Go-Round, Wizard of Oz Slide, phone tubes, rope swing, tumbling tubes, monster truck, iron horse railroad, enchanted castle, and swings.
The cost of admission on weekdays is $10 per person and the weekend price is $15 per person. (Columbus Day will have the same activities as weekends and the admission price will be $15). Children, under the age of two, are admitted free. There will be also refreshments for sale like sodas, cotton candy, sno cones, popcorn and more.
