Nora has over 12 years working in the Real Estate Industry; well experienced in working with buyers and sellers, investors, and renters and landlords. She has a Master degree in Business Administration from George Mason University and her Bachelors in Arts degree from George Washington University. Nora was born in in Bethesda, MD. She has lived her adult life in the Washington Metropolitan area, although she did spent her adolescent and teenage years in Puerto Rico. (Her parents were as missionaries in Puerto Rico in 1985.) Nora returned to the area in 1993 to study International Affairs with a full scholarship at George Washington University. She has been married to Michael John Yelland for 16 years and they have a teenage son named Michael. She is very knowledgeable of Northern Virginia areas and most of the National Capital Region. Nora loves to cook, travel and oddly enough enjoys talking about our nation politics.

There is no way to know who has the keys to a house, so switching out the locks ensures that the new homeowner is the only person with access to the house. Also, before all the boxes are unpacked, the house should be deep cleaned. Steam clean the carpets, wipe down all of the doors and cabinets, and clean the toilets and sinks. This will let the owner start fresh in their new life and in their new home.
