Not to mention, there may be some dispute as to what exactly a particular community is called. If there is even one letter of difference between a couple of entries this will be counted separately. Thus, if you really want to get a count, you have to consider all the variations of the subdivision's name. Case in point, Midtown condominiums in Fairfax County are sometimes known as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

Of course, for the reason stated above, make sure you double-check all possible variations of the name.
Is the property for lease?
This tally does not include rentals. Therefore, it's possible that the sign you saw posted was for a rental. Also, this list
exclusively includes active listings in Woodbridge.
Is the property coming soon?
An active listing is a property that is available and on the market. There are quite a few listings that have a sign up that are not
active.
For instance, sometimes a sign is posted because the property is
coming soon. A property that is in coming-soon status is not
yet available and not yet for sale. Only agents have access to information about properties that are coming-soon. Also, the Multiple Listing Service does not permit us to count those listings in our count. Is the listing sold?

under contract when you see the for sale up. Sold notices aren't posted immediately. Also, from time to time that the Realtor is a less than prompt with putting up the under-contract riders. For these reasons, you may see a for sale sign up when a property is not available.
