Below you will see a accounting of each and every subdivision (or condo) with properties for sale in Fairfax West. The list below is compiled from active listings today. The list below is recalculated often to ensure that we're supplying timely data that you may count on. The information listed below is pulled directly from the Multiple Listing Service, so there are a few quirks to keep in mind.
You might find a subdivision listed more than once.
You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condominium communities) listed below were all typed into the Multiple Listing Service by Realtors. Because humans entered the data, there can be spelling errors. Later, those spelling errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a property has been listed when in reality the error was corrected.
And, there may be some disagreement as to what exactly a particular subdivision is called. If there is just one character of difference between two entries this will be tallied as different communities. So, if you really need to get a tally, you have to consider all possible variations of the community's name. For instance, Midtown condominiums in Fairfax County are sometimes called Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.
"I saw a sign up but the community isn't listed below."
Is there another name for this particular subdivision?
Of course, for the reason stated above, try to you watch out for all possible variations of the name.
Is the listing for rent?
This list does not cover rental properties. Hence, it's possible that the sign you saw was for a rental. Furthermore, this list
exclusively covers listings on the market in Fairfax West.
Is the listing not yet active?

active.
By way of illustration, from time to time a for sale is posted because the property is
coming soon. A listing that is coming-soon is not
yet available and not yet for sale. Only agents have access to information about properties that are in coming-soon status. Furthermore, the MLS database does not permit us to list those properties in our tally. If you want to know about coming-soon homes in a particular neighborhood, you'll have to contact us directly.
Is the property sold?
And, from time to time that a listing is already sold when you see the sign up. Sold signs aren't posted instantly. Not to mention, it happens that the Realtor is a less than prompt with putting up the under-contract riders. For these reasons, you may see a for sale sign posted when a listing is not active.
