Later, those spelling errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a listing has moved from one subdivision to another when in reality the error was corrected.

In addition, there may be some variation as to what exactly a specific neighborhood is called. If there is just one letter of difference between a couple of entries this will be tallied as different communities. Hence, when you really need to get a tally, you have to consider all the variations of the community's name. Case in point, Midtown condominiums in Fairfax County are by some people known as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

Is the listing for rent?

This tally does not include rentals. So, it may be that the sign you saw posted was for a rental property. In addition, this tally exclusively covers active listings in Middletown.
