Linden is in Fauquier and Warren counties in Virginia. It is located west of Washington, D.C. at exit 13 off of Interstate 66. The community is mainly a bedroom community with subdivisions known as Apple Mountain Lake, and Blue Mountain. It has two gas stations, three stores, and a restaurant, as well as its own post office with zip code 22642. It is home to the Saint Dominic's Monastery, Appalachian Trail access points, along with the G. Richard Thompson Wildlife Management Area.
