Merrifield is situated in Central Fairfax County just outside the Capital Beltway. Residents here have easy access to the Dunn Loring / Merrifield Metro Station on the Orange Line. Fairfax County Public Schools Headquarters are situated in the Gatehouse Administration Center in Merrifield.
