Women Veterans Honored By Fairfax County Board of Supervisors
The meeting of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors was held on March 19. During this meeting, the services of Anna Maria Fitzhugh Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, were acknowledged.
The week of March 18-24, 2019 was officially designated as the Women Veterans Week in Fairfax County as a Proclamation.
The purpose of this Proclamation was to acknowledge the services of Women Veterans in dangerous combat zones. The female veterans were also recognized for "their willingness to take the oath to protect and defend
