2021 Vienna Halloween Parade Returns For 75th Annual Celebration

On Wednesday, Oct. 27, the 75th Annual Vienna Halloween Parade returned in its entirety, unlike last year's limited "Wave Parade," due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Town of Vienna Parks and Recreation and the Vienna Business Association coordinated, the hour-and-a-half-long parade featured 64 floats and other forms of entertainment marching down Maple Avenue, from Branch Road to Center Street. Great Falls Traditions Returned To Village Centre Green

Great Falls traditions returned to the Village Centre Green for the 4th of July 2021. Presented by Celebrate Great Falls, the welcoming atmosphere and organization drew families from the community and surrounding areas to the shaded, grassy common. Before the younger children paraded around the perimeter of the interior common, dressed in their finest patriotic displays in the Little Patriot Parade, the older children, like Michael Picard, 7, and his sister Caitlyn, 10, provided service hours. Retired Fighter Pilot In Herndon Gets A Drive-By Birthday Parade On 100th Birthday

Retired Air Force Col. Robert A. Shawn of Herndon recently turned 100 years old. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Loudoun County Post #1177. Shawn's comrades at the Post could not let one of their fellow defenders of freedom go without recognition on his momentous day, COVID-19 or not. The 39th Annual Ballyshaners' St Patrick's Day Parade will be held on March 7 2020 in Old Town Alexandria. This year's Grand Marshal for the event is owner of Daniel O'Connell's Irish Restaurant and Bar, John Brennan.
