The Marine Corps Marathon weekend is here and I am ecstatic. Popularly known as "The People's Marathon" and "Marathon of Monuments" it is one of the greatest marathons in the country and it happens in Arlington. The course, which begins and ends near the Marine Corps War Memorial(Iwo Jima), takes the runners through our nation's city monuments including the Pentagon, US. Capitol, Lincoln, Jefferson, Korean and Vietnam Memorials. Continue reading
