A drive-thru Chick-fil-A proposal at Kingstowne Towne Center will be up for Fairfax County Board of Supervisors consideration later in January. The location of the 5,200-square-foot restaurant with a drive-thru is 5810 Kingstowne Center, Suite 160, on the north side of Kingstowne Boulevard and the west side of South Van Dorn Street. On November 30, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, local small businesses in the Reston-Herndon area celebrated Small Business Saturday. The aim was to bring holiday shopping to small businesses and encourage people to Shop Small. As reported in the Amex-commissioned 2018 Small Business Economic Impact Study, estimated data on businesses with under 100 employees cited that for every dollar spent at a small business, approximately 67 cents stays in the local community and that helps keep doors open.
