FCPS To Have Test-To-Stay Program

Virginia’s largest public school system will change COVID-19 quarantine requirements in the New Year. Fairfax County Public Schools has been accepted into a test-to-stay pilot program run by the Virginia Department of Health, starting in January, according to a news release. Under the test-to-stay guidance, students deemed close contacts of other students who have tested positive for COVID-19 can continue in-person classes if they continue to test negative. McLean’s Resident Helps Seniors Get Vaccinated

A McLean resident has become a popular person in her neighborhood and across the region for her ability to get COVID-19 vaccination appointments on websites that other people find excruciatingly difficult to navigate. Katja Hom helped an immigrant family who speaks Spanish and was having trouble navigating the website to get vaccination appointments at a local Safeway. She also helped a 97-year-old woman and her 67-year-old son get appointments. Continue reading
