George Washington Parkway Roadwork Is Finally Done

The commuters in Northern Virginia's George Washington Parkway can relax now as the roadwork is finally done. The lanes are back open after more than five months of lane closures to repair a gaping sinkhole. One of two northbound lanes of the parkway has been closed since May. The National Park Service in a Friday morning news release said that work near Dead Run has been completed and drivers can once again use both lanes as they approach the Capital Beltway.
