Small Business Saturday Is Nov. 27 In Fairfax

To encourage customers to shop local, Fairfax City will celebrate the holidays this weekend with Small Business Saturday on Nov. 27. The fun will also include the City’s annual, Elf Scavenger Hunt, plus special offers and giveaways. Fairfax City’s Economic Development Office is putting on this event in partnership with the Central Fairfax Chamber of Commerce and the Old Town Fairfax Business Assn. Vienna Welcomes Greenheart Juice Shop

The “MJ” is a juice mixture of celery, cucumber, kale, spinach, parsley, lemon, mint, pineapple, apple, and ginger, and a top seller among juices at the Greenheart Juice Shop that just opened off the bike trail in Vienna. “We call it salad in a jar,” said store manager Christina Childs, who grew up in Vienna and now lives in Oakton. “It sounds real healthy but it tastes really good too,” she added Alicia Swanstrom, the co-founder of the store along with CEO Matt Cahir. High School’s Students In Springfield Start Their Coffee Business

As many coffee shops have been closed or their business hours shortened during the COVID-19 pandemic, two high schoolers have started their coffee business to fulfill locals’ coffee cravings. DMV Drinks is a coffee business founded by Lars Griffin and Josh Putz. It creates and delivers coffee and frappes to Burke and Springfield residents.
