High School’s Students In Springfield Start Their Coffee Business

As many coffee shops have been closed or their business hours shortened during the COVID-19 pandemic, two high schoolers have started their coffee business to fulfill locals’ coffee cravings. DMV Drinks is a coffee business founded by Lars Griffin and Josh Putz. It creates and delivers coffee and frappes to Burke and Springfield residents. More Vibrant Communities Promoted By Small Business Saturday In Reston-Herndon Area

On November 30, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, local small businesses in the Reston-Herndon area celebrated Small Business Saturday. The aim was to bring holiday shopping to small businesses and encourage people to Shop Small. As reported in the Amex-commissioned 2018 Small Business Economic Impact Study, estimated data on businesses with under 100 employees cited that for every dollar spent at a small business, approximately 67 cents stays in the local community and that helps keep doors open. City Of Alexandria To Welcome New Hotel In March

The City of Alexandria is expected to welcome a new hotel in March 2020. The new Hyatt Centric Hotel described as a pet friendly "boutique" hotel is located at 1611 King Street. The hotel feature 124 rooms, fitness center and a restaurant on site. The hotel will be near the King Street Metro and just down the street from the Hilton Alexandria Old Town and the Wyndham.
