Joseph Hensley Park is a 21.66 acres park named in honor of the late Joseph Hensley, a former Director of the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities in Alexandria. The park is located at 4200 Eisenhower Avenue and features facilities for everyone to enjoy. The park features softball fields, soccer field, picnic area and a park shelter with grill. It is used by the Adult Sports Leagues, the Bishop Ireton Varsity and Junior Varsity Softball Teams as well as the Alexandria Soccer Association. Ben Brenam Park is located at 400 Brenman Park Drive in West End Alexandria on the east end of the former U.S. Army base at Cameron Station. The park is named in the honor of the late Colonel Ben Brenman, a US-Army retiree and an Alexandria Community activist.
