Tysons To Have Mass Vaccination Site Next Week

A large-scale COVID-19 vaccination clinic is opening in Fairfax County, Virginia, on Tuesday. The vaccination center is at the former Lord & Taylor store at Tysons Corner Center, at 1961 Chain Bridge Road, in Tysons, the Fairfax County government said in a statement Friday. The site will have the capacity to vaccinate 3,000 people a day, as vaccine supplies allow, Board of Supervisors chairman Jeff McKay said in the statement. Continue reading

Filling Near Empty Food Pantry Shelves In Herndon

The Northwest Federal Credit Union Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Northwest Federal Credit Union, is trying to fill empty tummies. Mary Kaye "Kaycee" Childress, Executive Director of the Foundation said, "Our once-full shelves are now close to empty. Food insecurity affects everyone. Most significantly, it impacts the children in our community who are no longer able to get free breakfasts and lunches at school...No family should have to choose between buying food and paying their bills.
