Tutoring Company Launched By Local College Student

In the wake of the coronavirus and its impact on students’ learning in Fairfax County Public Schools, a 2019 alumnus of South Lakes High School in Reston and second-year engineering student at Georgia Institute of Engineering recently founded S4S Tutoring. Sessions are due to launch Mon. TJ Students Trying To Launch A Liquid-Fueled Rocket To The Edge Of Space

A group of 26 students at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology (TJ), which calls itself Project Caelus, successfully performed a “cold flow test” on September 13 in their efforts to launch a rocket to the edge of Earth’s atmosphere. This test is performed by running cold air and water through their engine prototype to simulate flight conditions. The final launch is planned for the spring of 2023. Continue reading
