You might spot a subdivision listed multiple times.

You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condos) compiled below were all typed into the Multiple Listing Service by listing agents. Later, those spelling errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a property has been listed when actually the spelling on a listing was changed.

Also, there may be some diffence of opinion as to what exactly a specific subdivision is named. If there is even one letter of difference between a couple of entries this will be tallied separately. Hence, when you really need to get a count, you should look at all the variations of the subdivision's name. For example, Midtown condominiums in Alexandria are sometimes entered in as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

Is the listing for rent?
This list does not cover rental properties. So, it may be that the sign you saw posted was for a rental property. And, this list exclusively covers listings still for sale in Chester Gap.
Is the property under-contract?
An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are some properties which have a sign posted that are not active. For example, from time to time a sign is posted because the property is coming soon. A property that is in coming-soon status is not yet available and not yet for sale.
