Are you seeking listings in a specific neighborhood?

Below you will see a accounting of every subdivision (or condominium) with real estate on the market in Dumfries. The list below is compiled from active listings today. This list is updated often to make sure that we're providing timely data that you may depend on. The tallies found below is pulled directly from the MLS database, so there are a couple of tips to keep in mind.

You may find a subdivision listed more than once.

You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condominium communities) collected below were all entered into the MLS database by listing agents. Because humans entered the data, there can be spelling errors. Later, those typographical errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a property has been listed when really the listing was updated.

Not to mention, there may be some variation as to what exactly a specific neighborhood is called. If there is just one character of difference between two entries this will be listed separately. Hence, if you really want to get a picture, you should look at all possible variations of the community's name. For example, Midtown condominiums in Alexandria are at times called Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

"I saw a sign up but the subdivision isn't found below."

Is there a different way to spell this specific subdivision?
Naturally, for the reason stated above, make sure you watch out for all typical variations of the name.
Is the listing for lease?
This tally does not cover rentals. So, it may be that the sign you saw posted was for a rental. Also, this tally only includes listings still for sale in Dumfries.
Is the property in coming-soon status?
An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are many listings which have a sign posted that are not active. For instance, from time to time a sign is posted because the property is coming soon. A property that is in coming-soon status is not yet available and not yet on the market. Only agents have access to information about properties that are in coming-soon status. Not to mention, the Multiple Listing Service does not allow us to include those listings in our count. If you want to know about coming-soon real estate in a particular neighborhood, you'll have to email us directly.
Is the property under-contract?
Not to mention, it happens that a listing is already under contract when you spot the for sale posted. Sold riders aren't posted immediately. In addition, sometimes that the Realtor is a less than prompt with putting up the under-contract riders. Because of these reasons, it's possible to see a for sale sign up when a property is not available.
