You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condominium communities) found below were all typed into the MLS database by Realtors. Because humans entered the data, there can be spelling errors. Later, those typographical errors can be corrected and that correction makes it appear that a property has moved from one subdivision to another when really the error was corrected.

In addition, there may be some variation as to what exactly a specific neighborhood is named. If there is just one character of difference between two entries this will be counted as different communities. Thus, when you really want to get a tally, you should look at all possible variations of the subdivision's name. For example, Midtown condominiums near the Huntington Metro are by some people known as Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

Is there a different name for this specific community?
As a matter of course, for the reason stated above, try to you look for all possible variations of the spelling.
Is the listing for rent?
This list does not cover rental properties. Hence, it's possible that the sign you saw posted was for a rental. And, this list exclusively includes listings on the market in Fairfax Station.
Is the listing under-contract?
An active listing is a property that is available and on the market. There are many properties that have a sign up that are not active. For example, sometimes a sign is posted because the property is coming soon. A property that is in coming-soon status is not yet available and not yet for sale.
