Are you looking for real estate in a specific subdivision?

Below you will find a list of every subdivision (or condo) with real estate on the market in Fairfax Station. This list is compiled from active listings today. This list is updated every few minutes to ensure that we're supplying accurate data that you can count on. The tallies found below is pulled directly from the MLS database, so there are some tips to keep in mind.

You may spot a subdivision listed more than once.

You should know that the names of subdivisions (or condos) collected below were all put into the Multiple Listing Service by Realtors. Because humans entered the data, there can be typographical errors. Of course sometimes, those spelling errors can be corrected and that correction makes it seem like a property has been listed when really the listing was updated.

Furthermore, there may be some variances as to what exactly a specific subdivision is called. If there is even one character of difference between two entries this will be listed as different communities. Thus, when you really want to get a picture, you have to consider all possible variations of the subdivision's name. For example, Midtown condominiums near the Huntington Metro are sometimes called Midtown, Midtowns, Midtown condomiums, Midtown Alexandria, Midtown Alexandria Station.

"I saw a for sale sign posted but the community isn't listed below."

Is there a different name for this particular community?
Certainly, for the reason stated above, make sure you look for all possible variations of the name.
Is the listing for lease?
This list does not include rentals. Hence, it's possible that the sign you saw posted was for a rental. Also, this list only covers listings still for sale in Fairfax Station.
Is the property not yet active?
An active listing is a property that is available and for sale. There are many properties which have a sign up that are not active. For example, from time to time a sign is posted because the property is coming soon. A listing that is coming-soon is not yet available and not yet for sale. Only agents have access to information about properties that are in coming-soon status. Also, the MLS database does not allow us to include those properties in our tally. If you want to know about coming-soon listings in a specific subdivision, you'll have to reach out to us directly.
Is the listing under-contract?
Also, sometimes that a listing is already under contract when you spot the for sale up. Sold or under-contract notices aren't posted immediately. Not to mention, it happens that the Realtor is a little tardy with putting up the under-contract signs. For these reasons, you may see a for sale sign posted when a listing is not available.
