The Hawksbill Recreation Park is a twenty-eight acre park featuring a community center, large swimming pool, concession area, picnic shelters, sand volleyball courts, hiking trail, and more. The park was established in 1940. It started as a swimming hole in the creek that was dug to create a dam to generate electricity.
