Founders Park is a peaceful riverside park located in Old Town Alexandria. The park was once called West Point in the early 1700s and was the first settlement site for the Europeans in Alexandria. The site was once used an industrial area for the building of a warehouse before becoming a storage area for tobacco, a landing point for African slaves and a fish town.
