How Do We Find Prospective Renters In The City Of Alexandria?

The first step for us to find a good lessee is to market your rental to the most people possible. But the second step is to identify a dependable renter. Investigating prospective lessees is one of the most crucial charges of every managing agent in the City of Alexandria. Photo of 918 Pendleton St #1/2 Nesbitt Realty & Management examines the prospective lessee’s past behavior. With that in mind, our small operation assumes the applicant’s future behavior will be the same or similar. The potential renter should demonstrate a history of being a top, honest renter as well as demonstrated financial capacity. Our background checking process is founded on several basic tactics including:
  • Tenant Screening – Nesbitt screens tenants with a combination of checking credit history, background, eviction and criminal screening services as well as our own efforts to collect information needed to confirm and process the application.
  • Application – After the applicant visits a investment home, the agent takes an application. The application is accompanied by supporting documentation so that our brokerage can verify and look at all information included on the application. The prospective renter pays for the cost of the background check at the time of application.
  • Landlord Reference – Nesbitt Realty utilizes public information, tax records and other research and verification to ensure that we're talking to actual owner about actual rental history of the applicant.
If accepted, the applicant’s in-processing includes a lease, lease signing, collecting pro-rated rent, and providing the tenant with a copy of any association documents needed for disclosure and instruction on rules and regulations associated with the rental property and community. For a complete break-down our process, contact Will Nesbitt or read more here. We have these essential memberships and affiliations: Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors, Better Business Bureau, and more. Nesbitt Realty also acquires tenants through relocation networks and other methods. To learn more about the full-list of what we do, email an agent today. Learn more about about property management
