Hidden Pond Nature Center Presents Erosion: It Wears You Down

Hidden Pond Nature Center is presenting "Erosion: It Wears You Down" that is a part of their Summer 2020 Virtual Nature Family Program Series. It will be presented online on August 6, 2020, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The admission cost is $10 per household. The program will use Zoom to connect participants to the naturalists who will be leading the program. As per fxva.com, "Rocks move and change over time. Learn how processes like weathering and erosion fit into the rock cycle. On a less geologic time scale, we'll focus on how erosion affects our streams and waterways and what humans are doing to speed up this process. We'll look at examples of streams at Hidden Pond park and provide a demonstration of the erosion process that you can experiment with at home. This program uses Zoom to connect participants. Participation is limited to 15 households for personal interaction with the naturalist."
