Grants To Be Made Available For Small Businesses In Alexandria

Starting June 4 2020, the Alexandria Economic Developemnt Partnership and the City of Alexandria will be introducing the Alexandria Back to Business (ALX B2B) grant program. The program will be available for small business with 2-100 employees that have been experienced revenue loss of 25% or more due to the coronavirus pandemic. Businesses can qualify for the grant by being licensed and located in Alexandria, providing supporting documentation to show the loss of revenue, locally owned and operating, having an employee count of 2-100 W2 employees, being in good standing and been in operation since March 1 2019. Grants can be used by businesses to offset costs relating to the business. It can also be used to purchase Personal Protective Equipment, other medical supplies to promote health and safety, technology to facilitate e-commerce or virtual business operations and rent or mortgage costs required to restart or reopen. Applications will open on June 4 2020 and close on June 8 2020.
