Effective Monday May 18 2020 all residents commuting on DASH buses will now be required to wear face coverings. The Alexandria Transit Company stated that the new change follows guidance from the Alexandria Health Department.
Individuals are are without a mask will be asked to obtain one fore boarded the bus. Persons who are unable to wear masks will be asked to social distance from other passengers. The bus service has made several changes to its services due to the COVID 19 pandemic as it tries to protect passengers and employers from contracting the virus. The new face masks policy will remain in effect until further notice.
