A teacher in Alexandria is going the extra mile to see her students during the closure of school during COVID-19. Alexandria County Day School teacher and one of ACDC's Cross Country coaches Sarah Shannon ran for 20 miles to say hello to each of her student while maintaining social distancing. The marathon runner mapped out her students' address as she set out to put a smile on the faces of her students. The students were extremely happy to see their teacher.
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced the closure of schools in Alexandria and in the state of Virginia.
